What fond memories I have of witnessing the Wimbledon men's single final of 2001. This match was between Goran Ivanisevic and Pat Rafter and lasted an exciting five sets.
Ivanisevic appeared in three previous Wimbledon finals and Rafter once and the latter had two US open titles.
The 2001 Wimbledon final had been delayed due to rain and therefore the tournament was extended from the usual Sunday to the following Monday.
